How can I be of service?

Notary deed

Translating a notary deed is an art in itself. Not only is the language much more formal than we are used to in the Netherlands, but the deed is also full of articles of law. Before the deed is passed, it is discussed with the customer and, where necessary, further explained. Of course I discussed and checked the deed with the Notary at an earlier stage.

Purchase proposal

The translation of a purchase proposal, and the preliminary as well, also includes a number of articles, in particular about the down payments, which require further explanation. In practice, it always comes down to more than just translating. But there is also a lot to explain.

Mortgage application

Translating a mortgage application actually means that it must be translated into Italian. This concerns annual statements, account statements, employer's statements and extracts from the registry office. A branch of sport that has completely different demands..

Quotations

In the event of a renovation, an overview is made of the activities based on square meter prices. This is called a 'Computo Metrico'. This is translated into Dutch so that the customer has a clear idea of what is included in the quotation and what is not. Again, a translation alone is not enough. Explanation is an important part of the job.

Listening and clear advice

Interpreting means above all listening carefully. Especially when it comes to construction work. It is not only important to properly convey the customer's wishes to geometra and contractor, but also to properly explain the (im) possibilities of certain wishes. Consultation about which activities can be performed and which cannot be done. Explanation about Italian building regulations, the role of the geometra, permits… everything is just a bit different. A reliable intermediary is fundamental.

Translation...is about trust and reliability

The interpreter / translator is often the client's confidant during the purchase or sale process. The many uncertainties caused by, among other things, different regulations and the woolly Italian language in the deeds with numerous references to all kinds of legal articles, can be largely overcome with a translation and good explanation.

Control

All documents are thoroughly checked for inaccuracies. Where there is doubt about the choice of words in the Italian version, consultations are held with the notary. In this way, the interpreter has become more than just a translator but also a watchdog who represents the interests of the customer. The cooperation with a number of "permanent" notaries guarantees a smooth course of this process.
